Country Furniture
For those of us living in an urban setting, we often pine for our rustic roots. To be sitting out on a porch swing with the gentle, afternoon breeze blowing through our hair, the lazy birds intermittently chirping, on a quiet summer's day is truly beyond compare; especially when we are faced with our alternative which is the hot, humid, sticky reality so artfully drawn into sharp focus by The Lovin’ Spoonful in their 1966 song. Our rustic roots follow us our whole lives and for those of us who grew up in the country, often one of the sweetest tributes we can pay to our heritage is through our montage of country furniture for our homes; wherever they are. Country furniture begins at its roots. Primitive country furniture is often the most stark kind of furniture any of us are able to locate. Still found today primarily in museums, preserved houses, the very old, and the traditional Amish, primitive country furniture takes us back to a time many of us can only imagine today.

What these pieces often have as some sort of a compensation for their un-comfortability is a throw blanket and/or some sort of cushion to soften the blow on your behind.
